What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What this covers

This page describes how Inparlor (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through inparlor.com and our prospective-client conversations. Work performed under a signed engagement is governed by that contract, not by this page.

Information you give us

The only personal information you actively give us through this site comes from two places:

  • The contact form, your name, email, optional company and website, an optional budget range, the services you care about, and the message you write. Submission also records the page you submitted from and any UTM parameters present in your URL at the time.
  • The newsletter form, your email and the page you signed up from. We use double opt-in, so you confirm via a link in your inbox before you're actually subscribed.

Information we collect automatically

We collect a small amount of operational data so the site functions and so we can keep it secure:

  • IP address, held in memory briefly for rate-limiting on form submissions. Not written to the database or otherwise persisted.
  • Standard request data, your browser's user-agent and the referring URL, in our server logs, retained for short periods for operations and debugging.
  • UTM parameters, if you arrive at the site via a marketing link with utm_source, utm_medium, or utm_campaign, and you later submit a form, those values are saved alongside your lead so we can measure which channels work.

We do not currently run third-party analytics scripts, ad pixels, or session-replay tools on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. The only cookies your browser may receive are those required by the platform we host on (for example, basic security cookies) and any first-party cookie you accept via a feature you explicitly use.

How we use it

  • To reply to inquiries and run prospective-client conversations.
  • To send the newsletter you double opt-in to.
  • To understand which marketing channels and pages drive real conversations.
  • To protect the site from abuse (rate-limiting, spam filtering).

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Where it lives

Form submissions are stored in our database hosted on Supabase and emails are delivered via Resend. Both are reputable processors with SOC 2 reports; their privacy policies govern their handling of the data we hand them.

How long we keep it

  • Leads, for as long as we are actively in conversation, plus a reasonable trailing period for relationship history. We delete on request.
  • Newsletter subscribers, until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Server logs, short retention, typically under thirty days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@inparlor.com from the address on file. We respond inside thirty days, usually much faster.

If we are processing your information on the basis of consent (e.g., the newsletter), you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Children

This site is intended for business operators. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we update this page, the “last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged on the home page or in the newsletter when reasonable.
