Odoo implementation cost in the UK has two parts that are easy to conflate: the licence cost you pay Odoo, and the implementation cost you pay a partner to make it fit your business. The licence is the small, predictable part; the implementation — configuration, customisation, migration and training — is where the real budget sits and where projects succeed or fail.
This guide separates the two and gives realistic 2026 GBP bands for implementing Odoo in the UK, scaled by module count and complexity. We implement Odoo for SMEs and mid-market firms, deploying on Docker so you are not locked to one cloud, and we work with both Community and Enterprise editions. Our framing assumes an implementation done properly — configured to how you actually operate, not just installed.
The figures below are implementation totals in GBP for a senior team and exclude Odoo's own per-user Enterprise subscription, which you pay directly. We decide Community vs. Enterprise in discovery based on the modules you genuinely need, and we will not push you onto Enterprise to pad a bill — the cheaper edition is the right answer more often than partners admit.
| Engagement | Range | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Single-area / few-module implementation | £10,000–£25,000 | A focused implementation of one or two areas — say sales and inventory, or accounting — configured to your operation, with basic data migration and team training. The right starting point for a smaller SME. |
| Multi-module core ERP | £25,000–£60,000 | Several connected modules (inventory, accounting, purchasing, CRM, manufacturing) configured to your processes, with migration from QuickBooks or a legacy system and per-department training. The most common SME band. |
| Customised / integrated implementation | £60,000–£120,000 | A multi-module implementation plus custom Python modules where defaults do not fit, integrations to your store, bank feeds or shipping via XML-RPC, and approval workflows per department. |
| Complex / mid-market rollout | £120,000+ | A larger rollout across many modules and entities, significant customisation, multiple integrations and a phased go-live. Run as a programme with a hardening and stabilisation tail. |

The clearest cost driver. Implementing sales and inventory is a fraction of implementing the full suite — sales, inventory, accounting, manufacturing, CRM and HR. We map your operation department by department in discovery and recommend only the modules you genuinely need now, phasing the rest.
Community is free and covers a surprising amount; Enterprise adds full accounting, Studio, better reporting and mobile/OCR on a per-user subscription you pay Odoo directly. The choice affects both your licence cost and the implementation effort, and we decide it on need, not on margin.
Where your process does not fit Odoo's defaults, we write proper custom modules in Python rather than hacking the core, so upgrades do not break you. Lighter changes go through Studio, which your team can maintain. Customisation is powerful but it is where scope can quietly grow, so we keep it deliberate.
Bringing your chart of accounts, customers, vendors, products and opening balances out of QuickBooks or a legacy ERP, staged and reconciled so your trial balance ties out on day one, is real work and a frequent source of underestimation.
Connecting bank feeds, your store and shipping through XML-RPC, plus training each department on the modules they touch, both add scope. Skimping on training is the classic false economy — an unadopted ERP is an expensive shelfware decision.
Odoo implemented around how you actually operate.
We'll send back an itemised proposal in GBP — scope, line items, timeline, and the team that would run it.
