How Much Does Salesforce Implementation Cost in Australia?

Salesforce implementation cost in Australia separates into two very different numbers: the per-user licence you pay Salesforce every month, and the implementation services that make the platform fit your business. This guide is about the second, because that is where the project lives, and for most Australian businesses it runs between A$30,000 and A$270,000 depending on how far you customise.

Overview

What you're actually paying for.

The bands below cover configuration, customisation, data migration, integration, and adoption work. A bare Salesforce org is just an empty platform; the value comes from modelling your pipeline, wiring your systems, and getting your reps to actually use it — none of which the licence buys you.

Figures are in Australian dollars with GST itemised separately. Worth noting up front: a custom CRM build is sometimes the cheaper two-year answer for a non-standard sales motion, and we will say so in discovery rather than implementing Salesforce by default when it is not the right base.

What it costs in AUD.

  • Focused Salesforce setup

    A$30,000–A$70,000

A clean Sales Cloud implementation: pipeline modelled to your process, key automations, a data migration, and rep onboarding. The right tier when your sales motion is reasonably standard and you want the platform done properly.

  • Customised multi-cloud implementation

    A$70,000–A$160,000

Sales and Service Cloud, custom objects and flows, integrations to your marketing and finance systems, and a real adoption effort. The band most Australian Salesforce projects reach once the platform spans more than one team.

  • Complex enterprise implementation

    A$160,000–A$270,000

Heavy customisation, Apex development, multiple integrated systems, and migration from a legacy CRM with years of history. Where Salesforce becomes the operational hub across sales, service, and operations.

What moves the number

The factors that move the quote most.

  • Customisation depth

Standard Salesforce configuration is included; custom objects, Apex code, and Lightning components for processes the platform does not model out of the box are development work that moves the budget up a band.

  • Integration count

Connecting Salesforce to your marketing stack, finance system, phone, and web forms is where much of the value and much of the cost sits. Each integration has to be built and maintained against an API that will change.

  • Data migration quality

Moving from spreadsheets or a legacy CRM means profiling, deduping, and mapping years of records into Salesforce's model. Reps abandon a CRM that lost their deals, so this work is done carefully or not at all.

  • Adoption and training

Salesforce only returns its cost if reps use it. Designing to remove data entry rather than add it, and rolling out to a pilot team first, is the work that turns an expensive licence into a system people actually run their day in.
